Every figure below was read from the US App Store listing on 16 September 2026. App Store pricing moves, and the store shows in-app purchase names and amounts without stating their billing period, so these are listed exactly as Apple shows them rather than translated into "per year".

The shape matters more than the amount. Halide's only in-app purchase that names itself a one-time purchase is the $69.99 one; the other two share a single name at two prices, and the store does not publish their billing periods, so read the listing before assuming. ProCam charges up front and then charges again for 4K video. Lucid asks once, for the whole app, and the number is $4.99.
None of that makes Lucid the better app for you. Halide has years of refinement and a large library of lessons behind it; ProCam covers formats Lucid does not. What it makes Lucid is the cheapest way to find out whether you actually want manual controls, because seven days costs nothing and the commitment after that is five dollars.

Will it run on your iPhone
Lucid requires iOS 26.0 or later. That is a higher floor than most manual camera apps, which still support iOS 16 or 17, and it is the single most common reason someone cannot buy it.
Check before you plan on it: Settings → General → About → Software Version. If that reads 26 or higher, Lucid will install. If it reads 18, the App Store will not offer it to you at all, and no purchase will change that.
The iOS 26 floor is deliberate rather than lazy. The priority modes are built on camera APIs that earlier releases do not expose, so there is no version of Lucid that could run on iOS 18 and still behave like a camera body.
